Alexa Park Las Vegas: A Neil Diamond Tribute

Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds Neil Diamond Tribute” LAS VEGAS SHOW RESIDENCY continues in the “MODERN SHOWROOMS” at Alexis Park Resort Hotel.

Music icon Neil Diamond is one of the most successful and beloved singer/songwriters in contemporary pop-rock music history.

Besides being one of the best-selling and record-breaking touring artists ever, he’s also created and performed the music that defined generations — including some of the most famous songs on the planet.

In early 2018, shortly before his 77th birthday, Neil Diamond stepped away from live performances after being affected by Parkinson’s.

However, Diamond’s concert legacy continues to be kept alive for audiences across the globe through Las Vegas entertainer Rob Garrett, often called “the best of the best”.

Ask Siri “who is the best Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll get the same answer.

Like his musical hero, Rob Garrett was a Brooklyn, New York native.

In May 1974, his parents brought him from New York City to the Las Vegas Valley, where, two years later, he witnessed his first live Neil Diamond show when Diamond debuted in Las Vegas to record crowds at the Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts (now “PH Live”) in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him 16 more times across the country—right up until Diamond’s last American show at the LA Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett started his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a decade-and-a-half career in Las Vegas and across the nation before transitioning from cover band frontman to a tribute artist dedicated to one of his childhood heroes.

In 1995, Garrett was hand-picked by the legendary Paul Revere to portray Neil Diamond in the world-famous “Legends in Concert” review.

What was meant to be a short engagement turned into a three-year residency.

By August 1998, Garrett was back in Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another couple of years before deciding to launch his own show.

He began a nationwide performance schedule, building a devoted fan base along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Neil Diamond Tribute.”

He continues to perform to sold-out venues nationwide, often in venues reserved for national acts.

Garrett has also earned several honors, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since Neil Diamond retired, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19th officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating his 50 years living in Las Vegas and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years as an active Las Vegas entertainer, with the last three decades devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has appeared at more Vegas stages than any other.

Since the June closing Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas seating chart of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only active Neil Diamond tribute production in America.

Alexis Park Hotel Las Vegas is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., near the Las Vegas Strip.
